A Woman's Place: A Solo Performance Festival
New American Folk Theatre is seeking women+ writers for an evening of monologues to be presented in the Spring of 2019 (Dates and venue are currently being determined). The monologues will be performed and directed by women+ artists who will be chosen based on the monologues selected for the festival. We are seeking pieces that are 10 minutes or under in length and that celebrate women+ and attempt to re-define the idea of "A Woman's Place".
Please email completed monologues to firstname.lastname@example.org with a cover letter and bio. If you are a writer/actor intending to perform your own piece, please indicate that in your cover letter. Our intention is to choose 10 monologues to be performed for two nights of performance (though the number of monologues can change, depending on submissions). The monologues will be chosen by a panel comprised of NAFT ensemble members and invited members of the community.
Deadline for submissions is March 5, 2019.
