ABOUT ART ENCOUNTER
Art Encounter is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 1978 to help people discover artistic concepts while sharing individual perceptions. Our mission is to educate, empower and connect people of all ages and backgrounds through our lively, interactive explorations of visual art. We bring people to explore art in collectors' homes, artists' studios, museums and galleries, and we bring our mobile museum of original art and creative workshops to schools, retirement homes and community centers.
Joanna develops Art Encounter's tours, workshops, and programs for youth, the elderly and special needs groups. As an artist, she has exhibited her shaped paintings and works on paper nationally and internationally in solo and group shows. A member of National Women In the Arts, she is represented by Perimeter Gallery in Chicago. Joanna has a BFA from Cornell University where she studied painting and art history.
