Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago host a pop-up satellite Museum at Urban Edge, a 5,000-sq.-ft. storefront gallery located in downtown Waukegan, IL.
The pop-up includes high-quality interactive elements including:
- Imagination Playground: an exploration of construction using oversize building blocks
- Airmazing: experimentation with air flow using wind tubes and Bernoulli blowers
- Animal Secrets: a naturalist’s tent with real field equipment which children can explore the world of wildlife
- Puppet Theatre: three stations with hand, shadow, and stick figure puppets
- Art Studio
- Reading Nook
Public Hours (Free Admission): Thursdays 5 – 7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
