
The exhibition “Resilient Images” is the result of two eight-week residencies during which the artists developed site-specific, research-based projects focused around engagement with new communities and investigation of current social and political conditions in Chicago and Douchy-les-Mines, France.With the notion of human resilience at the center of the exhibition, Schalliol and Pluvinage mine the ways in which people have coped with and adapted to a rapidly transforming reality, due to financial, political or social change.
