Framing Intern Position Expectations:

Train and work along side professional framing, installation and art consultants! You will learn valuable skills about the corporate art and gallery business. 

Framing intern:

-Training and assistance with cutting, joining and sanding custom frames for artwork with head Framing Manager.
-Training and assistance on fitting up, cleaning, packaging and wrapping of pieces.
-Assist the Framing Manager on a general day-to-day basis.
-Assist in taking deliveries and packing.
-Assist in maintaining clean work space.

- Work with company President, Art Consultants and other departments in day-to-day tasks as needed

- Communicating in a professional and efficient manner with president of the company, clients, Lead installer, art consultants and all other company staff.

- Maybe asked to stay late or come in on weekends if available (not required, but extra help maybe needed).

 

Interns that work well with our company will be considered for paid permanent positions.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

REQUIRED:

  • Own reliable mode of transportation (Maybe asked to do occasional errand run)
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Lift a maximum weight of 30 -50 lbs and stand for length
  • Pass a drug test
  • Comply with a background check
  • Ability to constantly stand, walk, push/pull and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Dress appropriately for the position - work clothes and footwear.
