The Assistant Director of Logan Center Marketing and Communications manages and executes marketing and communications efforts at the Logan Center by planning, scheduling, writing, editing, and disseminating print and electronic marketing materials; overseeing email communications, managing multi-media vendors; and evaluating marketing and communications efforts of programs and initiatives of the Logan Center. This position works with staff of the Logan Center, often aligning with other UChicago Arts initiatives and departments, to build and engage on- and off-campus audiences through social media, digital communications, marketing materials, and outreach initiatives. The Assistant Director will oversee the part-time Social Media and Content Specialist and student interns.

UChicago Arts Communications
The UChicago Arts Communications team leads both broad institutional marketing for the arts across the University and the Logan Center for the Arts and provides direct marketing support for the programs of the Logan Center including the Arts, Science & Culture Initiative, Logan Center Exhibitions, University Arts Engagement, and Community Engagement programs and partner academic and community projects. In addition, the UChicago Arts communications team supports the communications efforts of Arts + Public Life and the Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry through close collaboration with staff in those areas. In support of the Logan Center’s role as a coordinating hub for the arts at the University, the UChicago Arts / Logan Center Communications team encourages collaborative arts communications efforts across the University – both for specific University-wide collaborative projects and through strategic efforts to raise the visibility of the arts at the University. Current communications channels include print (UChicago Arts Guide, event posters, postcards, Logan Center quarterly, etc.); social media (UChicago Arts and program specific channels); digital (UChicago Arts and program specific websites, email newsletters, etc.); content development (news stories, blog posts, etc.); and limited paid advertising and public relations efforts. Working closely with communications and programming colleagues across the University, the UChicago Arts / Logan Center communications team is led by the Associate Director working closely with a full-time Assistant Director, full-time Box Office Manager, part-time Social Media and Content Specialist, a student intern, and a select group of design and public relations consultants. The Associate Director also advises other communications and marketing staff at arts entities across campus.
