Group Sales and Rental Coordinator

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, a 329-seat performance venue in downtown Arlington Heights, is seeking a Group Sales and Rental Coordinator. This position is part-time, averaging 25-30 weekly with flexible scheduling.

 

The Group Sales and Rental Coordinator reports to the Audience Services Director, working with the department to manage rental patrons, schedule events and coordinate with other departments. The Coordinator is also responsible for initiating, administering and maintaining group sales for theatrical productions.

 

The ideal candidate is motivated, outgoing, organized, and committed to excellent customer service. This position works in the box office, processing group sales/contracts and rental contracts, as well as out in the community, making connections and working toward additional sales. The flexible schedule allows for a wide range of other options including theater and related artistic pursuits.

 

The Group Sales and Rental Coordinator will be trained in Metropolis’ ticketing system (Arts-People), and cross-trained on box office procedures.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

Requirements and Qualifications:

-          Sales experience and theatre knowledge preferred

-          Computer proficiency a must-experience with Word, Excel, Gmail

-          Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-          Detail-oriented, motivated, and self-sufficient

-          Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

-          Ability to organize and manage multiple contract/contacts/etc.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

-          Correspondence via phone and email, with existing and potential clients

-          Prompt processing of contracts and deposit payments

-          Accurate record keeping

-          Follow up on missed payment deadlines/payment reminders

-          Distribute bus/parking instructions to groups

-          Greet field trip groups on performance days/assist House Manager in seating

-          Outreach via phone/email/in person to attract new sales/clients

-          On-site for facility rentals

-          Work with Executive Director and Marketing Director on e-blasts and printed media distribution
