Office Coordinator/Front Desk officer

The New Music School is looking for a dedicated administrator to help oversee day-to-day operations in collaboration with the Director of Operations & Director of Admissions. This role is responsible for welcoming all families, fielding all new inquiries, and overseeing the operational cohesiveness of the institution.

The New Music School is committed to creating a new standard in music education by redefining the music learning experience. Mentored by Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians, renowned collegiate professors, and other world-class faculty, our students are exposed to unconstrained musical exploration in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Our programs are designed to maximize artistic exposure and classes are offered in all orchestral and band instruments, piano, and guitar. Our programs represent excellent college preparatory, just beginning, and adult studies experiences.

Skills & Qualifications: 


  • Excellent customer service
  • A passion for music education
  • Knowledge of classical music and music education institutions
  • Comfortable creating simple budgets
  • Basic familiarity with CRM systems/databases
  • Strong skills with Excel/Microsoft Office suite

  • Answers all phone calls and inquiry emails
  • Manage daily class enrollment and financial transactions in database
  • Generates sale reports
  • Maintains levels of and orders all office supplies
