Spring Development Intern | The Art Center Highland Park

The Art Center Highland Park (TAC HP) is a not for profit arts organization dedicated to education in the contemporary visual arts through classes, outreach programs gallery exhibitions and events.  TAC is a vibrant arts community dedicated to delivering on our promise of “Making Art Available to All.”

The weekly schedule of the internship is flexible, depending on the availability and needs of the candidate; however, TAC HP seeks candidates who are able to work a minimum of 12-16 hours/week for at least four months.

Our Intern will work closely with TAC HP Development Director. Primary Responsibilities include: Fundraising - Prospecting and Communications • Research new private and public funding prospects for TAC HP mission • Assist with the creation and preparation of communication materials • Draft Letters of Inquiry and applications to potential funders and help grants team prepare other materials for proposal submissions • Support development of our CRM database, donor appeals and thanks, and online outreach and messaging.

Skills & Qualifications: 

Ideal Qualifications & Characteristics: • Excellent work ethic and reliability • Desire to learn new skills and work on a variety of projects • Ability to work independently • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Publisher, Constant Contact • Polished communication skills, diplomacy, and consideration of the confidentiality of our stakeholders and donors • Detail oriented • Have an interest in nonprofit fundraising, professional communication, and/or grants administration •

Ideal candidates are available to start in February and intern through May- to assist and participate in our Expanding Our Horizons Spring Benefit May 3rd, 2019.
